Creating Independence And Outcomes (CIAO)
What is CIAO?
The path to self-reliance. CIAO (pronounced “chow”) is Italian for hello and goodbye. No other name is more suitable.
There are many factors that get in the way of young adults making a successful transition to adulthood. That’s where Creating Independence and Outcomes (CIAO) can help. CIAO prepares youth for successful careers and lives after foster care.
Who is eligible?
To become a CIAO participant, you must be a Wayne County resident between the ages of 17 and 20 years old and in foster care for at least one day on or after your 14th birthday.
Reaching adulthood
can be an exciting time.
It can also be a confusing time. Life comes at
you pretty fast.
