Employment and Training

• Workforce Development--We can assist you in meeting your hiring needs through candidate pre-screening, assessment and training. Save time and money by calling one of our expert Placement Specialists today!
• On-the-Job Training--DCC will reimburse 50% of an employees wage during a set training period when you hire from our eligible pool of candidates.
• Customized Training--A unique opportunity designed to meet the needs of a new or expanding business. We can coordinate, fund, and assist in designing on-site or local area training necessary for new employees to gain the specific skills necessary for success in your unique operation.

Economic Development

• Plant Start-Up Assistance--The DCC can provide you with an array of services; from staffing to serving as a site city liaison.
• Site Location--The DCC is able to obtain detailed information about specific sites in the Downriver area for firms looking to move or locate in one of our communities. We can also facilitate site showing and purchase through knowledgeable Realtors.
• Training Funds--Gain valuable assistance with State of Michigan Economic Development applications and funds administration through DCC. • Special Interest Grants--We can assist with the development and administration of special interest grants such as the EPA Brownfield project.
