In a move toward maximizing quality, the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA), Michigan’s most populus workforce region, is adopting the National Association of Workforce Development Professional’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practices (NAWDP). The 21st century brings new expectations and challenges for the structure and operation of the One-Stop Service Centers. The implementation of the Workforce Investment Act has caused the One-Stop Center to become an employer driven, partner focused, outcome-based system. Adopting this Code will help raise SEMCA to a higher level and become the agency of choice for matching human capital and employment opportunities with the regions employers. |
